Democracy is democracy. In a democracy the people is sovereign. The Burmese people have decided. On November 8th general election, they overwhelmingly chose the leader of the country: Aung San Suu Kyi. Democracy cannot be an obstacle run. The 2008 Constitution does not allow Aung San Suu Kyi to be elected as President. A Constitution that survives the regime that produced it.
